Reservation & Relaxation

As per the Government of India (GoI) rules, applicable to SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, and PwD categories.

Supernumerary Quota (Over and Above Regular Seats)

Tezpur University offers additional seats under the following categories as per GoI directives:

Sports Quota
- 5 supernumerary seats are reserved for candidates with medals at National/International level sports events.
- Maximum one seat per department.
- Must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria of the program.
Defense Quota
- Up to 5% of approved seats are reserved for:
- Wards/widows/wives of Armed Forces personnel
- Ex-servicemen
- Allotment as per priority norms defined by the Government of India.
International Students Quota
- Up to 25% of the total sanctioned intake in all UG and PG programs is reserved for international students on a supernumerary basis.

Step-by-Step Application Process of Tezpur University Admission 2025-26

Follow these steps to successfully apply for admission to Tezpur University:

Step 1: Check Eligibility

- Carefully read the eligibility criteria for your chosen program.
- Identify the entry channel applicable to your course (TUEE, CUET, JEE, GATE, etc.).
Step 2: Prepare Required Documents
- Keep the following documents ready in scanned format:
- Passport-size photograph
- Signature
- 10th & 12th Marksheet and Certificate
- Graduation/Post-graduation mark sheets (for PG/PhD)
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Valid scorecard (JEE, CUET, GATE, UCEED, etc.)
- Government-issued photo ID
Step 3: Register Online
- Go to: https://www.tezu.ernet.in/academic/admission2025/
- Click on the “Apply Online” link.
- Register using your email ID and mobile number.
- Create a password and complete email/mobile verification.
Step 4: Fill Application Form
- Log in to the portal using your credentials.
- Fill out the application form carefully:

- Academic qualifications
- Program and course preferences
- Entry channel details
Step 5: Upload Documents
- Upload all necessary documents in the specified format and size.
Step 6: Pay Application Fee
- Choose the appropriate fee category:
- TUEE Channel: ₹1000 (₹500 for SC/ST/PWD)
- Other Channels: ₹600 (₹300 for SC/ST/PWD)
- Pay online using net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
Step 7: Submit the Application
- Review all entered details and uploaded documents.
- Click “Submit” and download a copy of the filled application form for future reference.
Step 8: Appear for Entrance Exam (If Applicable)
- If applying via TUEE, download your admit card from the portal before the exam.
- TUEE Exam Dates: 06–08 June 2025
Step 9: Wait for Merit List / Counselling Notification
- Admission through CUET/JEE/GATE/etc. will be based on the respective scorecards after results.
- Regularly check the website for updates on merit lists and counselling schedules.
