State Bank of India (SBI) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 2273 Circle Based Officer (CBO) posts on a regular basis across various circles in India. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official SBI career portal.

Eligibility Criteriaof SBI CBO Recruitment 2026
Age Limit (as on 31.12.2025)
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 30 years
Born between: 01.01.1996 and 31.12.2004 (both dates inclusive)

SC 5 Years
ST 5 Years
OBC 3 Years
PwBD (UR/EWS) 10 Years
PwBD (OBC) 13 Years
PwBD (SC/ST) 15 Years
Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government, including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD).
Candidates with professional qualifications like:
Engineering
Medical
Chartered Accountant
Cost Accountant
are also eligible.
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience (post essential academic qualification) as on 31.12.2025 as an Officer in:
Any Scheduled Commercial Bank, or
Any Regional Rural Bank (listed in the Second Schedule of RBI).
Local Language Proficiency
Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the circle applied for (reading, writing, and understanding).
A local language test will be conducted for provisionally selected candidates.
Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10th or 12th and can produce valid proof are exempted from the test.
Failure in the language test will lead to cancellation of appointment.
