Assam HS Admission 2025 – Website Information

Admissions into Higher Secondary (HS) 1st Year classes for the academic session 2025–26 will be completed through “Darpan”, the common portal for online HS admissions under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division – II.

For Institutions:

• Registration: Principals of colleges, HS schools, and senior secondary schools who wish to participate must register online through the DARPAN portal.

• Profile Update: Institutions already registered on the DARPAN portal are directed to visit the official portal and update their institution profile using their existing login credentials to process admissions for the session 2025–26.
• New Institutions: Institutions that have recently obtained Academic Permission from ASSEB, Division – II, but have not yet registered on DARPAN, must register using a token number.
  • The token number will be shared with the Principal through SMS.
  • Using the token, institutions can create their institution profile and conduct admissions accordingly.
• Mandatory Codes for Registration/Profile Update:
  • UDISE Code – For HS and Senior Secondary Schools
  • AISHE Code – For Degree Colleges

Students who wish to take admission into Higher Secondary 1st Year courses under Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division – II in various institutions such as Universities, Degree Colleges, Senior Secondary Schools, and Higher Secondary Schools must apply through the official DARPAN Online Admission Portal.

• Step 1: Scroll down and check the Important Web Links section.
• Step 2: Click on the link titled “HS 1st Year Online Admission”.
• Step 3: The DARPAN admission portal will load. Click on “Register a New Account”.
• Step 4: Fill in your personal and educational details as required.
• Step 5: Upload scanned copies of your passport-sized photograph and HSLC (Class 10) marksheet.
• Step 6: Choose a secure 4-digit Login PIN and click the “Register” button.
• Step 7: Revisit the HS 1st Year Online Admission link and log in using your credentials.
• Step 8: Select your preferred course and choose up to five institutions in order of preference.
• Step 9: Click on “Submit” and take a printout of your submitted application for future reference.
• Step 10: Regularly check the DARPAN portal for updates regarding merit list and admission status. You will be notified about the institutions you’ve been selected for.

• Scroll up and go to the Important Web Links section.
• Click on the “HS 1st Year Merit List” link.
• A new page will open. Enter your:
  • Mobile Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Security PIN
  • Then, click Login.
• Once logged in, your DARPAN Dashboard will appear. Click on the “Application Submitted” button.
• You will see a list of all colleges/schools you applied to.
• Each listed institution will display your admission request status.
• If your name appears in the merit list, you will see an “Accept Admission Request” link next to the respective institution.
• Click it to confirm your admission in that school or college.
