Gauhati University PG Admission 2025 – GU PGET Admit Card

Gauhati University has officially released the notification for Gauhati University PG Admission 2025. As per the notification, the university has activated its online admission portal for submission of applications to various Post Graduate (PG) programmes. These include MA (Arts), MSc (Science), and MCom (Commerce) courses for the academic session 2025–2026.

Eligibility Criteria for GU PG Admission

Educational Qualification

Candidates must be a graduate with a minimum of 24 Credits in the respective subject, obtained through:

Major / Honours course, or

Regular course (non-major).

For Interdisciplinary Programmes, specific eligibility criteria may vary. Candidates are advised to check the official guidelines via the provided link.

Provisional Eligibility for Final Semester Students

Candidates who have appeared/are appearing in the 6th Semester of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.Voc. Examinations, 2025 are eligible to appear in PGET-2025 and may be granted provisional admission, subject to the following:

(i) They must submit their Final Gradesheet/Marksheet within 7 days of the result declaration.
Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of the admission/seat.

(ii) Candidates with backlogs in earlier semesters but appearing in the 6th Semester in 2025 are also eligible for PGET-2025 and provisional admission.

They must also submit the Final Gradesheet/Marksheet within 7 days of result declaration.

Failure to comply will result in withdrawal of their seat.

PGET Score Requirement

All candidates must appear in the Gauhati University Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET)-2025 to be eligible for admission into any PG programme of Gauhati University or its affiliated colleges.

Application Fee Details

For 1 PG Programme: ₹800/-
For 2 PG Programmes: ₹1600/-
For 3 PG Programmes: ₹2400/-

Fill in all your required credentials and upload the necessary documents, such as:

Gauhati University PG Entrance Test (PGET-2025)

Gauhati University will conduct an Entrance Test for admission into various Post Graduate Courses (for both University Departments and Affiliated Colleges) for the academic session 2025–2026. Admission will be based strictly on performance in the Entrance Test and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
