Dibrugarh University B.Ed. Common Entrance Test 2025, popularly known as Dibrugarh University B.Ed. CET 2025, is the official entrance examination for admission into the two-year B.Ed. programme offered by Dibrugarh University and its affiliated colleges across Assam. This annual exam assesses candidates on General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Teaching Aptitude.

Eligibility Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed. Admission 2025

(a) Academic Qualifications

A candidate must have:
- At least 50% marks (in aggregate) in either:
  - The Bachelor’s Degree and/or the Master’s Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities,
  - OR
  - A Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology (with specialization in Science and Mathematics) from Dibrugarh University or any university recognized by Dibrugarh University with 55% marks or an equivalent Grade Point.
Important Clarification:
- If a candidate has 50% marks or more in the Honours/Major subject but less than 50% in the aggregate (all courses/papers combined) of the Bachelor’s Degree, they will not be eligible for admission to the B.Ed. Programme.
- The requirement of 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade point) is compulsory.

(b) Entrance Test Requirement

The candidate must qualify in the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Dibrugarh University for the relevant academic session.

Reservation Policy

The Statutory Reservation Policy of the Government of Assam shall be strictly followed for seat allocation in the B.Ed. programme.

Relaxation in Eligibility Criteria

A relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks (or equivalent Grade Point) will be provided only once under any one of the following categories:

Candidates belonging to the following reserved categories:
- Scheduled Caste (SC)
- Scheduled Tribe (ST)
- Other Backward Classes (OBC/MOBC)
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
Candidates having a minimum of 5 (five) years of teaching experience in a school that is recognized at least up to the 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.

Note: A candidate can avail the benefit of 5% relaxation in marks under only one category — i.e., either as a reserved category candidate or as an experienced teacher, not both.
