Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Assam has invited online applications for the Combined Merit Scholarship (Degree & Master) for the academic session 2024–25. This scholarship is meant for male students only pursuing their 1st Semester Degree or Master’s Degree courses in Arts, Science, or Commerce under any provincialised/Government College or State/Central University in Assam.

Under Graduate (UG) ₹450 per month
Post Graduate (PG) ₹500 per month

Eligibility Criteria for DHE Combined Merit Scholarship 2025

Academic Qualification:
Minimum 60% marks in Higher Secondary Final Exam for Degree-level applicants.
Minimum 60% marks in General Degree Course for Master-level applicants.
Course & Institution:
Must be pursuing 1st Semester Degree or Master’s Degree (Arts/Science/Commerce) in a provincialised/Government College or State/Central University of Assam.
Domicile: Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Bank Account: Must have a valid Active Bank Account in the applicant’s name (preferably in SBI) with details (Bank Name, Account Number, Branch, IFSC Code).
Mode of Disbursal: Scholarship will be disbursed through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
Merit Basis: Selection will be made strictly on merit and subject to budget allocation.

How to Apply for DHE Combined Merit Scholarship 2025?

Apply online through: http://dheoperations.assam.gov.in/pg-scholarship-2025-26
After submission, take a printout of the online application form.
Submit the print copy with relevant documents to your Registrar/Principal/Head of Institution.
The institution will verify and forward applications to the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19.

Certificate from Registrar/Head of Institution (Mandatory)
Photocopy of 1st page of Active Bank Account Passbook
Final Marksheet of last qualifying exam (HS/U.G.)
Photograph and Signature of the applicant
Aadhaar Card

Incomplete or incorrect applications or inactive bank accounts will lead to rejection.
No applications (soft/hard copy) will be entertained after the deadline.
