About CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme
The Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme is a flagship initiative launched by the Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Assam.
This scheme aims to provide monthly financial assistance to fresh graduates from Assam to help them in their job search, competitive exam preparation, or self-employment ventures.
Eligible candidates who have graduated in 2025 from government or public institutions in Assam can receive ₹2,500 per month for a period of 12 months.
Objectives of the Scheme
To support fresh graduates financially during their job search period.
To encourage them to prepare for competitive examinations.
To empower youth to explore self-employment opportunities and entrepreneurship.
Eligibility Criteria for Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions to apply:
Residency:
Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Educational Qualification:
Must be a fresh graduate (2025 pass-out) from a government/public institution (state or central) located in Assam.
Students from open universities or private institutions are not eligible.
Employment Status:
Must be unemployed at the time of application.
Further Studies:
Should not have enrolled in any professional or vocational courses.
Exclusion from Other Schemes:
Applicants who are beneficiaries of the Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme are not eligible.
Parental Criteria:
Parents should not be employed in any public office (MLA, MP, or Minister).
Parents should not be registered contractors.
Family income should not exceed ₹10 lakh per annum.
Parents should not hold government or pensioner status, except Grade IV employees.
Verification & Payment Process
Institute Verification:
All applications will be verified by the respective colleges/universities by 31 December 2025.
Departmental Verification:
The Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department will verify and prepare the final beneficiary list by 10 January 2026.
Fund Disbursement:
The ₹2,500 monthly assistance will be directly credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) from 1 February 2026 onwards.
