Educational Qualifications

• Assistant Engineer (Civil):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university.
  • Degrees obtained through distance education are not accepted.​
• Assistant Engineer (Mechanical):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university.
  • Degrees obtained through distance education are not accepted.​
• Junior Engineer (Civil):
  • 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering/Construction Technology/Civil & Planning from an AICTE-recognized institute.
  • Diplomas obtained through distance education are not accepted.​

Eligibility Criteria of Water Resources Dept Recruitment 2025

Residentship:

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• The candidate must produce either:
  • Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes, or
  • Employment Exchange Registration Certificate from any district in Assam.

Nationality:

• Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Age Relaxation:
The upper age limit is relaxable as follows:

• SC/ST candidates: Relaxation of 5 years (up to 43 years)
• OBC/MOBC candidates: Relaxation of 3 years (up to 41 years)
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Relaxation of 10 years
