ST Scholarship Assam 2025 – ST Scholarship Online apply

The Directorate of Tribal Affairs (Plain), Assam has released the official notification for the Assam ST Scholarship Scheme 2025. This scheme includes both Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships for students of Assam belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category for the academic year 2025–2026. The main objective of this scholarship scheme is to provide financial assistance to ST students to ensure their continued education and reduce school dropouts at various levels.

Community

• Only students belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) are eligible.

Citizenship

• The applicant must be a citizen of India.

Family Restriction

• A maximum of two boys from the same parents/guardian can avail the scholarship.
• This restriction does not apply to girls. All eligible girls can apply, regardless of the number of siblings already receiving the scholarship.

Annual Family Income

• The total parental/guardian’s income from all sources should not exceed ₹2.5 lakhs per annum.
• The income certificate must be issued only by the Circle Officer of the applicant’s respective Revenue Circle.

Interested and eligible students may apply online through the following steps:

• Scroll down and go to the Important Web Links section.
• Click on the One-Time Registration link.
• A new web page will open.
• Enter your personal and educational details as required and complete the registration.
• After registration, login to the portal and click on “Online Application Form”.
• Fill in all required credentials and upload the necessary documents.
• Finally, click on “Submit” and take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

Documents Required for ST Scholarship Application:

Students must upload the following documents while submitting the online application:

• Bonafide Certificate (issued by the Head of Institution)
• Bank Passbook (first page showing account details)
• Income Certificate (issued by Circle Officer of the respective Revenue Circle)
• Caste Certificate (for ST category)
• Aadhaar Card

Important Notes:

• Use an active bank account while applying, as the scholarship amount will be credited via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). The authority is not responsible for payment failure due to inactive or incorrect account details.
• Make sure your bank account is Aadhaar-seeded.
• The Bonafide Certificate must be duly signed and sealed by the Head of the Institution.
