Educational Qualification

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates must ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before the specified date.

Local Language Proficiency

  • Candidates applying for vacancies in a particular State/UT must be proficient in the specified local language of that State/UT. Proficiency includes the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the language.
  • 📌 Important Points:
  • Mandatory Requirement: The candidate must be proficient in the opted local language of the State/UT they are applying for.
  • Exemption from Language Test:
  • Candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate showing that they have studied the specified local language will not be required to appear for the language proficiency test.
  • Language Test:
  • Those who do not possess such a certificate will be required to appear for a language test to verify their proficiency before final selection.

Age Limit (As on 01.04.2025):

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
    • PwD (OBC): 13 years
    • PwD (SC/ST): 15 years

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Qualifying Marks: Aggregate cutoff to be decided by SBI. 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ESM/DESM. No sectional cutoff.

  • Test of Specified Opted Local Language
    • Applicable to: Only candidates provisionally selected.
    • Exemption: Those who studied the opted local language in Class 10 or 12 (and have mark sheet) are exempted.
    • Requirement: Others must pass the language test before joining. Failure to qualify will lead to disqualification.

  • Final Selection
    • Based on: Marks obtained in the Main Examination only.
    • Prelims Marks: Not considered in final merit.
    • Merit List: Drawn State-wise and Category-wise based on Main Exam scores.
