JEE Main 2026 – Online Apply for Joint Entrance Examination
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2026. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the official website. The Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main) is conducted for admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan courses offered by NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Age LimitThere is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2026. Candidates who have: Passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, or Are appearing in Class 12 in 2026 are eligible to apply, irrespective of age. Note: Candidates must also satisfy the age criteria (if any) of the institute where admission is sought. Educational QualificationCandidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2024, 2025, or 2026. Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2023 or earlier are not eligible. State of EligibilityThe State Code of Eligibility is determined by the state from which the candidate has passed the Class 12 qualifying examination. It does not depend on the candidate’s place of birth or residence. Example: If a candidate studied Class 12 in Delhi but resides in Uttar Pradesh, the state code of eligibility will be Delhi, not Uttar Pradesh.
