Eligibility Criteriaof Indian Air Force Recruitment 2026
Age Limit
Candidates must be born between 01 January 2006 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).
Upper age limit at the time of enrolment: 21 years.
Educational Qualification
For Science Subjects
Candidates must have either:
Passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics & English
Minimum 50% marks in aggregate
Minimum 50% marks in English
OR
Passed 3 years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / CS / IT / Instrumentation)
50% marks in aggregate
50% marks in English
OR
Passed 2 years Vocational Course with Physics & Maths
50% marks in aggregate
50% marks in English
For Other Than Science Subjects
Candidates must have either:
Passed 10+2 in any stream
50% marks in aggregate
50% marks in English
OR

Medical Standards for Agniveer Vayu
Height
Male: 152 cm
Female: 152 cm
North East / Hilly areas: 147 cm
Lakshadweep: 150 cm
Chest
Male: 77 cm (minimum) with 5 cm expansion
Female: 5 cm expansion
Weight: Proportionate to height and age
Hearing: Normal (Forced whisper audible from 6 meters)
Dental: Minimum 14 dental points
General Health: Physically and mentally fit, free from any disease or disability
Tattoo Policy
Tattoos allowed only on:
Inner forearms
Back of palm
Tribal tattoos as per tradition
Offensive tattoos are strictly prohibited.

Pregnancy leads to immediate disqualification
