1. AFCAT Entry
Flying Branch: 38 Posts
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: 188 Posts
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch: 89 Posts
2. NCC Special Entry
Flying Branch: 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.
Total Posts: 340 (Approx.)
Eligibility Criteria of Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment
Age Limit:
Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2027 (Born between 02 January 2003 to 01 January 2007).
Upper age limit for candidates holding valid Commercial Pilot License (DGCA India) is 26 years.
Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2027 (Born between 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2007).
Marital Status
Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Marriage during training is not permitted.
Educational Qualification
(i) Flying Branch
Passed 10+2 with 50% marks each in Maths and Physics and
Graduate (any discipline) with 60% marks, OR
BE/B.Tech (4 years) with 60% marks, OR
Cleared Section A & B Examination of AMIE or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks.
(ii) Ground Duty (Technical Branch)
(a) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) – AE (L):
10+2 with 50% marks each in Maths & Physics and
4 years degree/integrated post-graduation in Engineering/Technology or equivalent with 60% marks in relevant disciplines like:
Computer Science, AI & ML, Electrical & Electronics, Information Technology, Communication Engineering, Cyber Security, Robotics, etc.
(b) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) – AE (M):
10+2 with 50% marks each in Maths & Physics and
4 years degree/integrated post-graduation in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Production, Industrial, or Automobile Engineering with 60% marks.
(iii) Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branches)
Weapon Systems (WS) Branch: Graduation with Physics & Maths at 10+2 and 60% marks in Graduation or BE/B.Tech.
Administration & Logistics: Graduate in any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent.
Accounts Branch: B.Com / BBA (Finance) / BMS (Finance) / BBS (Finance) / CA / CMA / CS / CFA / B.Sc. (Finance) with 60% marks.
Education: Post-Graduation with 50% marks and Graduation with 60% marks.
Meteorology: B.Sc. (Physics & Mathematics) or BE/B.Tech in relevant disciplines with 60% marks.
Examination Fee
AFCAT Entry: ₹550/- + GST (non-refundable)
NCC Special Entry: No fee required.
