Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati has released an official employment notification for the recruitment of 6 project-based positions under a DBT-funded project titled: “Quality Control and Quality Assurance Laboratory and Facilitation Centre for Pharmacopeia Standardisation of Herbals and Phytopharmaceuticals in North East India.” Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the IASST official recruitment portal.

1. Project Scientist – II

• No of posts: 01
• Pay: ₹67,000 + 18% HRA
• Educational Qualification:
• Ph.D. in Natural Product Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in isolation and characterization of natural products.
• Desirable:
• Experience with NABL/GLP/GMP quality systems, HRMS handling, SOP writing, and scientific publications.
• Age Limit: Up to 40 years (relaxable as per rules)

2. Project Assistant

• No of posts: 01
• Pay: ₹20,000 + 18% HRA
• Educational Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s degree in any science discipline with good communication skills.
• Desirable: Experience in office administration, MS Office, e-office, and project management.
• Age Limit: Up to 40 years (relaxable as per rules)

3. Project Associate (Technical – Natural Product Chemistry)

• No of posts: 01
• Pay: ₹31,000 + 18% HRA
• Educational Qualification: First Class MS/MSc/M.Pharm in Natural Product Chemistry/Chemistry.
• Desirable: Knowledge in analytical chemistry, phytochemical testing, instrumentation, TLC/HPTLC/HPLC/LCMS.
• Age Limit: Up to 35 years (relaxable as per rules)

4. Project Associate (Technical – Pharmaceutical Sciences)

• No of posts: 01
• Pay: ₹31,000 + 18% HRA
• Educational Qualification: First Class M.Pharm/MS (Pharm)/Master’s in Pharmacology or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Desirable: Experience in ethnopharmacology, natural product formulation, bioassays, and animal handling/experiments.
• Age Limit: Up to 35 years (relaxable as per rules)

5. Project Associate (Technical – Taxonomy/Pharmacognosy/Ayurvedic Medicine)

• No of posts: 01
• Pay: ₹31,000 + 18% HRA
• Educational Qualification: First Class M.Pharm/MS (Pharm)/Master’s in Pharmacognosy or BAMS.
• Desirable: Experience in plant taxonomy, crude plant microscopy, botanical authentication, polyherbal formulation.
• Age Limit: Up to 35 years (relaxable as per rules)

6. Project Associate (Technical – Microbiology/Biotechnology)

• No of posts: 01
• Pay: ₹31,000 + 18% HRA
• Educational Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in Microbiology or Biotechnology.
• Desirable: Experience in microbial testing, molecular biology, Western blot, RT-PCR, etc.
• Age Limit: Up to 35 years (relaxable as per rules)
