Educational Qualification:

• Applicants must be graduates with a minimum of 24 credits in the respective subject either with Major/Honours or through a Regular Course.

Special Notes Regarding Final-Year Students:

• Final Semester Candidates (Without Backlogs):
  • Candidates who have appeared/are appearing in the 6th Semester BA/BSc/BCom/B.Voc Exams 2025 and are awaiting results are eligible to appear in PGET-2025.
  • They can be granted provisional admission, subject to submission of their final gradesheet/marksheet within 7 days of result declaration.
  • Failure to submit will result in withdrawal of the allotted seat.
• Final Semester Candidates (With Backlogs):
  • Candidates who have backlogs in earlier semesters but have appeared in the 6th semester 2025 exams are also eligible to appear in PGET-2025.
  • However, they too must submit the final gradesheet/marksheet within 7 days of result publication to retain their admission.

Compulsory PGET Score:

• All candidates, regardless of their academic background, must appear in the Gauhati University Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2025 to be eligible for admission into any PG programme at Gauhati University or its affiliated colleges.

Application Fee for Gauhati University PG Admission 2025

• Candidates applying for Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2025 at Gauhati University must pay the following entrance examination fee based on the number of programmes they apply for:

• For 1 PG Programme: ₹800/-
• For 2 PG Programmes: ₹1600/-
