Fishery Department Recruitment 2026 – Overview

1. Aquaculture Specialist

No. of Posts: 01
Remuneration: ₹1.00 lakh to ₹1.25 lakh per month
Educational Qualification:
Post Graduate / Graduate Degree in Fisheries from ICAR recognized Universities / Institutions.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of working experience in the aquaculture field under any of the following:
Public Sector
Private Sector
Externally Aided Projects (EAPs)
Candidates having experience in internationally funded projects such as JICA, World Bank, ADB, etc., will be given preference.

2. Procurement Specialist

No. of Posts: 01
Remuneration: ₹1.00 lakh to ₹1.10 lakh per month
Educational Qualification:
Minimum Post Graduate Degree in Fisheries or Agricultural Economics / MBA in Agriculture and allied subjects / Master Degree or Graduate Engineers in any discipline from any Government recognized University/Institution.
The candidate must be fully trained in procurement norms of JICA / ADB / World Bank or any other externally funded agency.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Procurement Management functions in any public or private sector organization.
Out of which, at least 4 years’ experience must be in managing procurement under a World Bank / Asian Development Bank / JICA or similar Externally Aided Project (EAP).
Candidates having hands-on experience in Government e-Procurement systems will be preferred.
Experience in procurement under JICA funded projects will be an added advantage.

3. Junior Project Engineer

No. of Posts: 01
Remuneration: ₹0.50 lakh to ₹0.60 lakh per month
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in Civil Engineering / Architectural Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction-related projects, which should include:
Building planning and design
Use of AutoCAD and other Autodesk products for 2D & 3D design, engineering, and visualization
Experience in projects under:
Public Sector
Private Sector
Externally Aided Projects (EAPs)

4. DX Assistant

No. of Posts: 01
Remuneration: ₹0.50 lakh to ₹0.60 lakh per month
Educational Qualification:
Graduate / PG Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in digital transformation projects, including:
Designing and building information-sharing platforms
Computer program planning and related IT-based project works
Preference will be given to candidates having at least 1 year of experience in any Externally Aided Project (EAP) or National Flagship Programme.
Computer Skills:
The consultant must have:
Proficiency in using Internet, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Strong project data analysis skills
Ability to assist the DX Expert on a day-to-day basis in preparation and management of all project-related digital data and reports

5. Supporting Staff (Computer Assistant)

No. of Posts: 01
Remuneration: ₹0.40 lakh per month
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline with a minimum 6 months certificate course in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Working experience is not mandatory.
However, candidates having at least one year of experience in any Government / Semi-Government / Private organization will be preferred.
Computer Skills:
The consultant must have:
Proficiency in the use of Internet, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Ability to analyze project data
Capability to assist the PMU on a day-to-day basis in preparation and management of all project-related data and documents
Language:
Must be able to read and write in English
Knowledge of local language will be an added advantage

6. Fishery Expert

No. of Posts: 02
Remuneration: ₹0.50 lakh to ₹0.60 lakh per month
Educational Qualification:
B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science) from ICAR recognized Universities / Institutes.
Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates having:
Minimum 5 years of working experience in inland aquaculture production related fields
Out of which, at least 2 years of experience should be in any Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) such as World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), JICA, etc.
Computer Skills:
The consultant must have:
Proficiency in the use of Internet, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Ability to assist the DPO-cum-DFDO on a day-to-day basis in preparation, compilation, and management of all project-related data and reports

7. Account and MIS Consultant

No. of Posts: 01
Remuneration: ₹0.40 lakh to ₹0.50 lakh per month
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor in Commerce (B.Com) / Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with specialization in Accounting or Finance / Bachelor of Accounting from a recognized University.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of working experience in handling accounts and audit
Must have proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, etc.
Out of the total experience, at least 2 years must be in any Externally Aided Project (EAP) like World Bank, JICA, ADB, etc.
Computer Skills:
The consultant must have:
Proficiency in the use of Internet, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Ability to assist the DPO-cum-DFDO on a day-to-day basis in preparation and maintenance of financial records, MIS reports, and other project-related data as required under the project

8. Supporting Staff (Computer Assistant)

No. of Posts: 01
Remuneration: ₹0.30 lakh per month
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline with a minimum 6 months certificate course in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Working experience is not mandatory.
Preference will be given to candidates having at least one year of working experience in any Government / Semi-Government / Private organization.
