The Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) – 2026] is an all-India level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into various Undergraduate (UG) programmes offered by Central Universities under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and other participating State, Deemed, Private Universities and Autonomous Colleges. CUET provides a single common platform to students across the country, especially those from rural and remote areas, ensuring equal opportunity and transparency in the admission process. For the Academic Session 2026–27, CUET (UG) 2026 is scheduled to be conducted from 11 May 2026 to 31 May 2026 (Tentative).

Educational Qualification

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination
• OR candidates appearing in Class 12 examination in 2026 are eligible.
• Final admission will be subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria of the respective university/institution.

Year of Appearance

• Conditions related to year of passing will be governed by the participating universities.
• Candidates must verify eligibility from the official website of the concerned university.

• CUET (UG) 2026 will consist of three sections:
• Section IA & IB – Languages
  • Reading Comprehension (based on different passage types)
  • Literary Aptitude & Vocabulary
• Section II – Domain Specific Subjects
  • Based on NCERT Class 12 syllabus
  • Candidates can choose subjects as per course requirements
• Section III – General Test
  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs
  • Logical & Analytical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Numerical Ability
• Marking Scheme
  • +5 marks for each correct answer
  • −1 mark for each incorrect answer
  • No marks for unattempted questions
