Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has released an official notification for the recruitment of PGT, TGT, and PRT teachers across various Army Public Schools in India. These schools are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the Online Screening Test (OST) to be conducted for shortlisting potential teachers.

Post Graduation in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks
B.Ed with minimum 50% marks

Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

No of posts: N/A
Educational Qualification:
Graduation in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks
B.Ed with minimum 50% marks
Note: A Postgraduate with less than 50% in Graduation but more than 50% in Post-Graduation in the subject applied for is also eligible.

Primary Teacher (PRT)

No of posts: N/A
Educational Qualification:
Graduation with minimum 50% marks
D.El.Ed or B.Ed with minimum 50% marks

Other Criteria of Army Welfare Education Society Recruitment

CTET/TET Requirement:

Not Mandatory for OST: CTET/TET is not mandatory to appear in the Online Screening Test (OST).
Mandatory for Appointment: CTET/TET conducted by Central or State Government is mandatory for appointment as TGTs and PRTs.
Adhoc Appointment: Candidates without CTET/TET but otherwise found suitable may be considered for adhoc vacancies until the qualification is attained.

Age Limit:

Fresh Candidates (No Teaching Experience): Below 40 years
Experienced Candidates (Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in the last 10 years): Below 55 years
Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government rules.
