Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released Advertisement No. 19/2025 inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Functional Manager / Project Manager / Deputy Director under the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Assam. A total of 11 vacancies are available in various reserved categories.

Note: Ex-Servicemen must upload their Ex-Servicemen Identity Card (issued by Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Assam) and Discharge Book during application submission.

Pay Scale:

Pay Band – 4 ₹30,000 to ₹1,10,000/- ₹14,500/-
Other allowances as admissible under Assam State Government rules will also be provided.

Eligibility Criteria for APSC Functional Manager/Project Manager/Deputy Director Posts

Nationality & Domicile Requirements:
- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Proof of Residency:
- Candidates must upload one of the following as domicile proof:
- Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam issued for educational purposes, or
- Employment Exchange Registration Certificate of Assam.
Upload the necessary documents at the time of online application.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Engineering, or
- Arts, or
- Science, or
- Commerce
The degree must be from a recognized university/institution in India or abroad as approved by the Government.
Minimum Academic Requirement:
- Must have secured 2nd Class Honours (Major) in any specific subject,
- OR
- Must have obtained Distinction in the degree course.
Upload all relevant mark sheets and certificates for each semester/year clearly reflecting the subjects studied.

Age Limit and Relaxation – APSC Recruitment 2025

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):
- Minimum Age: 30 years
- Maximum Age: 45 years
Age Relaxation (Category-wise):
- SC/ST 5 years up to 50 years
- OBC/MOBC 3 years up to 48 years
- Ex-Servicemen (UR) – 50 years
- Ex-Servicemen (OBC/MOBC) 3 years up to 53 years
- Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST) 5 years up to 55 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) 10 years 55 years (for all categories)
Age Proof:
- Age will be calculated based on the Class X/XII Admit Card, Pass Certificate, or Marksheet issued by a recognized Board/Council.
- No other document will be accepted as proof of age.
Special Instructions for PwBD Candidates:
- Must possess a valid Benchmark Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Upload the certificate during online application.
Guidelines for Government Employees (State Govt. of Assam):
- Candidates currently employed in regular Government service (excluding ad-hoc/casual/contractual/daily wage/hourly-paid staff) must:
- Upload a Service Certificate from the competent authority.
- If seeking pay protection or continuation of service, they must also upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned department.
Small Family Norms Declaration:
- In accordance with Government Notification No. ABP.69/2019/17 dated 06.11.2019, all candidates must submit a declaration in Form-A regarding adherence to the Small Family Norms at the time of application.
- Ensure all supporting documents are uploaded as required to avoid disqualification. Ent of Assam norms, the upper age limit is relaxable for certain categories:
