The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 is a state-level engineering entrance exam conducted for admission into B.Tech courses in engineering colleges of Assam. The exam is organized by Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU). On 7 March 2026, ASTU released the official notification for CEE 2026 for admission to B.Tech programmes for the academic session 2026–2027. Eligible candidates who have passed or are appearing in 10+2 (Science) can apply online.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
10+2 Qualification
Must pass 10+2 (Science) in a single sitting.
Must pass Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics individually in Theory and Practical.
Diploma Qualification
Passed 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology under State Council for Technical Education, Assam with
45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
B.Sc Qualification
Passed B.Sc degree from a recognized university with
45% marks (40% for reserved categories)
Must have Mathematics in H.S. (10+2).

Other Eligibility Criteria for Assam CEE Exam 2026

Residency

Candidate must be an Indian citizen and Permanent Resident of Assam (PRC required).

Central Government Employee Quota

Applicants applying under this quota must submit proof of permanent residency from their respective state authorities.

Qualifying Marks

Minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in qualifying examination as per AICTE norms.

Minimum Age: 17 years as on 31 December 2026
No maximum age limit
