The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 official notification has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NCET 2026 will be conducted on 17 April 2026 (Friday) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. NCET is a national-level entrance examination conducted by NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the Academic Session 2026–2027. Qualifying NCET is mandatory for admission to ITEP courses offered by selected Central & State Universities / Institutions, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges across India.

Eligibility Criteria for NCET ITEP 2026 Notification

Age Limit

No age limit to appear in NCET 2026.
Candidates must satisfy the age criteria (if any) of the respective University / Institution at the time of admission.

Educational Qualification

Candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent or
Candidates appearing in Class 12 examination in 2026 are eligible to apply.

How to Apply for NCET ITEP 2026?

Eligible candidates can apply online by following the steps below:

Click on the Online Application Form link.
A new registration page will open.
Enter personal and educational details carefully.
Upload scanned copies of:
- Passport size photograph
- Signature
- Other required documents
Pay the application fee as per category.
Submit the form.
Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
