Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteriaof Army Public School Jorhat
1. Essential Qualification for PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)
Essential:
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:
Two-year Integrated Post Graduate M.A./M.Sc. Course of Regional College of Education (RCE), NCERT, in the concerned subject with minimum 50% aggregate marks
OR
Post-Graduation with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed./M.Ed.
OR
Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subject.
2. Essential Qualification for TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)
Essential:
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:
Four-year Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of Education (RCE), NCERT, in the concerned subject with minimum 50% aggregate marks
OR
Post-Graduation with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed./M.Ed.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and in aggregate, as detailed below:

B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with minimum 50% marks
Pass in CTET/TET, conducted by CBSE/State Government in accordance with NCTE guidelines
Proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi medium
Knowledge of Computer Applications
3. Essential & Other Qualification for PRT (Primary Teacher)
(Including PRT – Physical Education)
Essential:
Graduate Degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate
B.El.Ed. / Two-year D.El.Ed.
OR
Teachers already in service with Army Public Schools / APPS prior to 11 August 2023 with B.Ed. degree may also apply/continue, subject to enrolment and completion of the Bridge Course launched by NCTE
Pass in CTET/TET (PRT Level) conducted by CBSE/State Government as per NCTE guidelines
Proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi medium
Knowledge of Computer Applications
4. PRT – Physical Education
Essential Qualification:
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:
a) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject with minimum 50% marks
OR
b) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject with 45% marks and participation at National/State/Inter-University level in sports/games/athletics recognized by AIU / Indian Olympic Association
OR
c) Bachelor’s Degree with 45% marks and participation in National/State/Inter-University sports/games/athletics
