The National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) is a national-level entrance exam for admission into the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) programme offered by Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) degree is offered by NCHMCT and recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting NCHM JEE from 2019 onwards. As per the official notification, NCHM JEE 2026 will be conducted on 25th April 2026.

About NCHMCT

  • The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) was set up in 1982 as an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. It regulates academics and centrally runs the B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Administration programme and other structured courses across:
  • 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management
  • 33 State Government IHMs
  • 01 Public Sector Undertaking
  • 02 PPP-run SIHMs
  • 25 Private Institutes of Hotel Management

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized board
  • English must be one of the subjects (Core / Elective / Functional)

Appearing Candidates

  • Candidates appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2026 are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis
  • Provisional admission will be cancelled if proof of passing 10+2 is not submitted during counselling or admission, latest by 30-09-2026

Age Limit

  • No age restriction for appearing in NCHM JEE, as per the New Education Policy (NEP)

Physical Fitness

  • Qualified candidates must submit a Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of admission, as per the prescribed format

NCHM JEE 2026 Application Fee

  • Candidates must pay the application fee online using Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
  • Category wise Application Fee
  • General / OBC (NCL) ₹1000
  • General – EWS ₹700
  • SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender ₹450
