ERickshaw – Moped Distribution Scheme 2025 – Online Registration for Linguistic Minority Applicants

The Assam Linguistic Minorities Development Board (ALMDB), Govt. of Assam has launched a special welfare scheme for unemployed youth belonging to Linguistic Minority Communities of Assam. Under this initiative, E-Rickshaw or Moped will be provided FREE of cost to the eligible beneficiaries.

ERickshaw – Moped Distribution Scheme 2025 – Full Details
Selected beneficiaries will receive E-Rickshaw / Moped free of cost.
No application fee required for online registration.
Applicants can choose only one option: E-Rickshaw OR Moped.
The E-Rickshaw is for commercial income-generating use.
The Moped is for candidates planning to work under app-based services, and selected applicants must provide an undertaking from the company.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)
Minimum age: 25 years
Maximum age: 50 years
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:
Be a permanent resident of Assam.
Be presently residing in Assam.
Belong ONLY to Linguistic Minority Community
(NOT from Religious Minorities such as Muslim / Buddhist / Christian / Sikh / Jain / Parsi).
Be capable of driving E-Rickshaw / Moped.
Not rent, lease or sell the allotted vehicle.
Selling the vehicle within 3 years of allotment will invite legal action.
Have a composite household income less than ₹3.00 lakh per year.
(Income certificate not required during online registration.)
If selected, must produce BPL card or Income Certificate issued by Circle Officer / Mauzadar before allotment.
Selection Process
Beneficiaries will be selected district-wise based on Linguistic Minority population.
Selection will be done through a DRAW by competent authority after scrutiny of online applications.
Categories NOT Eligible to Apply
Applications will NOT be accepted from households having any of the following:
Current members of Panchayat Raj Institutions / Urban Local Bodies.
Regular serving or retired employees of Central / State Government.
Ministers / Officers / Departments / Field units of the Government.
Employees of Central or State PSUs / Autonomous Institutions / Local Bodies.
Regular employees of Cooperative Societies funded by Govt. of Assam / Govt. of India.
