DSE Assam Recruitment 2025 – Apply for 59 Special Educator Posts

Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam has released an official notification for the recruitment of 59 Special Educators in Provincialised Secondary Schools of Assam. The recruitment is being conducted to strengthen and improve the quality of education in compliance with the RTE Act, 2009 and as per Hon’ble Supreme Court judgments.

DSE Assam Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details

  • Name of Post: Special Educator
  • No of Posts: 59
  • Apply mode : Online
  • Organization: Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam
  • Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 (PB-2) + Grade Pay ₹8,700/- per month with other allowances as admissible.

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate/ Post Graduate from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.
  • B.Ed. in Special Education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
  • Degrees obtained through off-campus/ distance mode are not valid except for KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL (GU), and Distance Education under DU.

Other Criteria:

  • Must be an Indian Citizen and permanent resident of Assam.
  • Must register in Employment Exchange of Assam.
  • Must comply with Small Family Norms (no more than 2 living children on or after 01.01.2021).
  • Candidates already in Govt. service must submit NOC.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025):

  • UR: 18–40 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
  • OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
  • SC/ST(P)/ST(H): up to 45 years
  • PwD: up to 50 years

1. TET cum Recruitment Test (140 Marks):

  • Pedagogy – 50 Marks
  • About Assam & its People – 35 Marks
  • General Mathematics (Class 10 level) – 15 Marks
  • General English – 30 Marks
  • General Studies & Current Affairs – 10 Marks

2. Additional Marks (Maximum 5):

  • NCC Certificate (5 for “C”, 3 for “B”), OR
  • National Level Sports participation (Assam representation), OR
  • National Level Fine Arts/ Cultural achievement.
  • Candidates who passed earlier High School TET but not appointed yet: 5% of TET marks (max 5 marks).
  • Visit the official portal and click on “Online Application Form.”
  • Fill in personal and educational details correctly.
  • Upload all required documents in the specified format.
  • Submit the application and take a printout of the acknowledgement receipt.

  • HSLC, HSSLC, Graduation & Post-Graduation mark sheets & certificates
