Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Scheme is a flagship welfare initiative launched by the Government of Assam under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The scheme aims to financially empower girl students from economically weaker sections and reduce school dropout rates, especially at the secondary and higher secondary levels. In 2025, the scheme is expected to continue and possibly expand its coverage and benefits to ensure 1 million (10 lakh) girl students in Assam are supported.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Daughters of Ministers, MPs & MLAs
  • Recipients of Banikanta Kakati Award (Scooty)
  • Students of private institutions

Option 1: Through Educational Institution (Likely Method)
  • In most cases, applications are collected and submitted by your school/college/university. Here’s how it works:
  • Contact your institution’s nodal teacher/office for the Nijut Moina Scheme.
  • Submit required documents to your institution.
  • They will upload student data to the Assam Education Department portal.
  • Amount is directly credited to the student’s bank account after verification.
Option 2: Online Application (If Applicable)
  • If the government enables direct online application, follow these steps:
  • Visit: https://mmdirectorate.assam.gov.in
  • (or the new portal link if announced for 2025)
  • Find the link titled:
  • “Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Aasoni 2025 – Apply Online”
  • Click “New Registration”
  • Enter Aadhaar, Name, DOB, Mobile No., etc.
  • Fill Application Form:
