Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has officially released the notification for the Assam Joint MCA Entrance Examination (JMEE) 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 23rd May 2025 to 2nd June 2025 through the official portal. The JMEE is a state-level entrance exam conducted by ASTU for admission into the 1st Semester of the MCA Programme in various colleges across Assam. These include: (1) Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, (2) Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat (3) Girijananda Institute of Management and Technology, Guwahati. The entrance exam for the academic session 2025–2026 is scheduled to be held on 22nd June 2025 (Sunday).

Assam ASTU JMEE 2025 – Exam Overview

Eligibility Criteria for Assam JMEE 2025

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions to appear for the Assam Joint MCA Entrance Examination (JMEE) 2025:

  • Citizenship:
    • The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
    • Must possess a valid PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) of Assam issued by the competent authority.
  • Character:
    • The candidate must possess a good moral character.
  • Age Limit:
    • Age must be between 20 years and 26 years as on 1st July 2025.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Must hold a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration.
    • The candidate must have Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or during Graduation.
    • A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying degree examination is required
    • (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories).
  • Final Year Students:
  • Candidates appearing in their final examination are also eligible to apply.
  • Provisional admission will be allowed with the following conditions:
    • An undertaking must be submitted stating that the final mark sheet/certificate will be provided within 2 months of admission.
    • If the candidate fails to produce the required documents within the stipulated time, the admission will be cancelled automatically.
    • The candidate must have cleared all subjects up to the 5th semester of their degree.
    • Must produce all mark sheets up to 5th semester during Counseling for verification.

Application Fee for ASTU JMEE Exam

  • An application fee of ₹2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) is to be paid online through SBI Collect.
  • SBI Collect allows payment via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
  • Important Notes:
  • The fee must be paid successfully within the last date of online application submission.
  • Failure to complete payment within the deadline will result in the rejection of the application.
  • No complaints or communication regarding failed payments will be entertained after the last date of submission.

Candidates aspiring to appear for the Assam JMEE (Joint MCA Entrance Examination) must submit their applications online. Follow the steps below to complete the application process:

  • Click on the “Online Application Form” link and begin the registration process by selecting “New Registration”.
  • After registration, log in using your credentials and click on “Online Application Form”.
  • Fill in all your personal and educational details, and upload the required documents as per the instructions.
  • Pay the application fee according to your category using the available online payment options.
  • Finally, submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
  • Starting date of online application submission: 23rd May 2025
  • Last date for submission of online applications: 2nd June 2025
  • Issue of online admit cards: From 12th June 2025 onward
  • Date and timing of examination: 22nd June 2025 (Sunday), 11:00 a.m. – 02:00 p.m.
  • Declaration of results: Within 15 days of the examination
