The candidate must possess a 3 (Three) years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a technical institute recognized by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).
Mode of Study:
The diploma must be obtained through regular full-time study.
Diplomas obtained through distance mode of education (regardless of the name or type) will not be accepted.

Candidates must upload the following documents at the time of application:
All semester/year-wise mark sheets clearly reflecting the subjects studied.
Final pass certificate of the diploma course.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must ba a permanent resident of Assam.
A Domicile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose / Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.
Age Limit & Relaxation
General Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025):
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 40 years
Upper Age Limit Relaxation:
As per Government of Assam norms, the upper age limit is relaxable for certain categories:
SC/ST Candidates:
Relaxation of 5 years → Up to 45 years
OBC/MOBC Candidates:
Relaxation of 3 years → Up to 43 years
(As per Govt. Notification No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated Dispur, 2nd September 2020)
Ex-Servicemen:
Unreserved (UR): Up to 42 years
OBC/MOBC: Up to 45 years
SC/ST: Up to 47 years
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
10 years relaxation irrespective of category (UR/OBC/SC/ST)

Employment Exchange Registration:
Candidates must be registered themselves in any of the employment exchanges of Assam.
Small Family Norms:
The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
